Hello my dear Loved ones!

How has your week been? I have had just a great week! Yesterday, Sergio and Manual (finally) received the Gift of the Holy Ghost! It was a little prolonged because of our Stake Conference. But yesterday, both of them were confirmed members of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Exciting huh? They both have had many changes in their lives, both have passed through many trials and sadness, but they are now happier than ever and with a perspective of hope and Faith! Isn't it wonderful? The Gospel heals us! With this in mind, I want to introduce you all to Juan,Yesterday, we were walking to an appointment and felt to knock his door, actually, it was his corner store where he sells bread and cookies and other groceries. Usually, the people who work in corner stores get really mad when you bother them, but we decided to follow the prompting. We introduced ourselves as missionaries and told him we are here to tell you that your family can be eternal. As he listened to our contact, I felt that he was really listening. We promised him that he would feel peace in his heart if he listened to us, and he opened the door. We felt lots of humility as he told us that he is sick and that his life has been full of sadness since his 18 year old son passed away. About 30 years ago, his oldest son was working on a fishing boat and died in a tragic ship wreck. He had the life saver hanging on his wall. His heart ached, we could feel it. My heart ached with him. He has 4 other children, the youngest is 18, but he clearly has never been able to cope with the loss. We taught him about the atonement and of eternal families and we promised him that his family could be eternal. With tears in his eyes, he told us that he has been waiting for someone to tell him that. He agreed to read the Book of Mormon and the go to church this week. I felt so much happiness as I saw how the gospel was starting the healing process in his heart. The gospel has healed me so many times. I have so much faith in its promises. I just LOVE being a missionary. Daily, we will see miracles if we are looking for them. Pray for him!

Also, We have had very special experience with an Member named Juan Munoz. He is a recent convert, from about 3 years ago. He has sure had lots of sadness in his life, but he has a great attitude. Several weeks ago, he almost died. he has diabetes and fell into a coma. He suffered 3 strokes and pneumonia, and basically every other compilation possible. The doctors told us he would die. But he didn't! I has so much faith. He is now in absolute rest in his house and we have been visiting him frequently. His sickness has left him blind and he can't even lift a finger, but he is very faithful. For the last 2 weeks, we have been begging members to visit him. He is so lonely. It is so sad to see member that love the church, they want to go on Sundays, but they can't. For about 3 weeks, no one went to visit him. Finally, yesterday, several members paid him a visit. We stopped by in the night to see how he was doing and his countenance hadcompletely changed! He was so happy, he was shining, smiling and even laughing. He told us that he thought the members had forgotten about him, but he knew they still loved him. Ok, now I'm going to obligate some action out of you guys... Ready for my challenge? This week, VISIT members who are sick or less active. Visit them!!!! You have know Idea how much good your 15 minutes will do. I know we are busy, I know the members here really are so so so busy, but their short visits brought the happiness into the life of a very good man. Please do it! Even if you feel uncomfortable, You will make such a great difference, I promise!!!

I love you all so much, really. You guys just make me happy. I am loving life. I love being a missionary. Its the best thing I have ever done.

I hope you all have A GREAT GREAT GREAT week! I am excited to hear about your stories and adventures!

TE QUIERO Mucho!
