Hi everyone!
How has your week been? We have had a great week! Lots of people who are progressing towards their baptisms! Wahoo
And the biggest miracle... Maria Paz FINALLY received permission to be baptized! I don't know if I have mentioned her in my letters. She is a 17 year old girl who has been going to church for the last several months. She is just so sweet! She wants to get baptized, but her mom has never given her permission. We have been praying so hard so that she can receive permission from her mom. This week, we fasted for her mom, that her heart could be changed, And GOD Answers our PRAYERS!! This week, we went to Maria Paz´s house and watched a church film with her. Her mom, who always gives us the cold shoulder, came out to watch it with us. Then she invited us to once (which is basically like tea time) While we were eating and talking, we started talking about the church, and her mom told us that she would support her daughter in her decisions. This Sunday, Maria told us that she receivedpermission from her mom and her dad! Wahooo. But now Maria is really scared and feels like she is not prepared... but we know she is, so this week we will help her face her fears, but we are so happy for her!
Also, Juan Moreno is progressing so well! Thank you for your prayers! We are also teaching a woman named Sonia who is so so prepared! Pray for them both this week! We are hoping that they will both accept baptism dates this week.
I also attached photos of our aerobics classes! We have about 10 faithful class members who come each week. This week we prepared brownies to reward everyone for their HARD Fat burning work. haha I seriously love them. And the majority of them are reading the Book of Mormon and two of them are attending church! Its a miracle. We are seeing so many miracleshere in Valparaiso. I love it here. Seriously. I love it.
I can't really express all of the other amazing things that happened this week. Lots of miracles. Lots of people who are just so receptive and lots of recent converts who are progressing and preparing to go to the temple. I think Valparaiso has been some of the highest highs and Lowest lows of my mission. (and not just talking about all the hills we have to hike...) I think that'swhy I love it so much!!
Oh also, I found out this week that almost all of the investigators in Limache are going to get baptized with Hermana Hart and her new companion. I cried when I heard the news. We worked SO hard there. SO HARD. I am grateful that there are fruits, even if I don't get to see them!
I love you all so much. Please have an amazing week! I will, if you will!
