How are you all doing!? Happy 21 of May! (A big Chilean Holiday)
I hope my letter finds you all happy and healthy and HAPPY. hah I sure am! Thank you for all of the prayers that you say for my investigators. I love them so so much. I want to help them make sacred covenants with God! Sometimes it's harder than it sounds. haha but we are just giving it our all. I am grateful for an awesome companion that is just working so hard with me! Each day we return to the pension just Exhausted. Last night I felt asleep on my knees after nightly planning. haha. My poor knees are just so calloused. But I think that is my favorite souvenir that I will be returning with. A reminder of so many answered prayers.
This week was one of those week where none of the appointments were home, but we talked to so many people about the gospel! I know that God put people in our path way who were so prepared to recieve the message. Even though we have had lots of difficulties, we have faced them with smiles and joy.
We also had interchanges with the sisters in Vina and it was an interesting experience. We put a baptismal date with a new investigator who was just so anxious to listen to the gospel. He confused us with Jehovah Witnesses. Haha But after he realized that we were Mormons, he said he liked listening to us more. hah Also, an Hermana from the ward in Vina passed away and we attended her funeral and viewing. As we walked in, they asked me in I could sing and invited me to sing in a quartet for the funeral. So I ended up singing in a funeral of a woman that I never got the chance to meet, or even see. But it was a special expedience because she was the only member in her family. The funeral was full of very sad, very rich people, who had all the temporal things in the world, but in a moment of loss, they really didn't have the answers to there questions. I love the gospel. It fills my life with joy and light.
Also, last night, we teamed up with our Jehovah Witness neighbors to unclog a sink. Haha we share a sink drain with JW missionaries. haha We worked together, with a plunger to de-clog our drain haha. It was pretty funny. Afterwords, we gave her cookies that we had baked. It was pretty funny.
Oh, and also, good news, We didn't die yesterday in a HUGE earthquake. Yesterday, It as predicted that a HUGE earthquake of 9.3 was going to hit Valpo. Everyone was so scared, basically in panic. But nothing happened. haha
I love you all so much! I hope you have a great week!
