Hi family and friends!!
How are you all doing? It sounds like you had awesome weeks! Enjoying the great weather. Enjoy it becauseit is getting cold here!
We have had an AWESOME week! It has been just so much fun!
Lets see, first off, Irma, a friend of a recent convert was baptized! Wahoo. She is so converted. Its amazing to hear her strong testimony. Alex, a convert who has actually become a very great friend was able to baptize her, and it was just a really awesome experience.
Also, Andro passed his baptismal interview this week and will be baptized this Saturday. He has made so many changes in his life. He has given up smoking, alcohol coffee and tea. Haha big changes right? But it is so special to see his progress. He loves sharing his testimony with us and is just so excited to be baptized. We are trying to get him set up with a good group of single adult friends so the transition is a little bit easier for him. Pray lots for him because he is just so great! Its actually really special because all of the converts here have built up a great friendship. When we teach them, we feel like it is more like uniting with a great group of friends. Friendship is SO important in conversion because if the converts have friends, it is so much easier to remain strong in the faith!
This week at church, we had 7 investigators attending. It was amazing! I have never had so many investigators at church before. Priscilla and Enrique and Agata, our golden family came to church today and we were just all smiles when they walked in. We have a family home evening tonight with them. They are probably the richest people I have met in Chile. Enrique is a doctor and has the typically medical beliefs "I believe in God but not in religion". So he is a little bit harder to work with, but Priscilla's faith is ever growing. They are reading the Book of Mormon as a family. That alone has the power to change hearts!
This week, we also had a stake activity with all of the Branch's in Valpo. It was a plan of salvation re-enactment where everyone boarded a plane and there was a plane crash and everyone dies we go through the different Kingdoms of Glory. It was great! Hermana Garcia and I were the Flight attendants haha. we had to give the safety instructions complete with air masks and life vests. Hermana Garcia did it first in Spanish, and then I said it in English. Haha you know what? IT was SO hard to speak in English! How embarrassinghaha. Luckily no one except the missionaries understood me, but still how embarrassing, I cant even speak my own language. haah
But it was really fun.
Lets see, what else happened this week... We achieved all of our goals as a companionship, so that was pretty amazing. We are so grateful that God is helping us achieve our goals!
I LOVE BEING A MISSIONARY! I am doing my best to take advantage of the last stretch of my mission! I am praying that the Lord will help me reach my goals as a missionary! At the end of this week, the change will end and I will know where I will be finishing the mission. PRAY for me so that I can finish off here in Valpo. I really cant leave here yet...
I love you all!
Hermana Royal
