Hola familia y amigos!

Espero que todos esten felices hoy dia! I have had just a great week! We have seen lots of miracles this week. LOTS! First of which..... drum roll... Karen and Nicolas got married! Wahoooo! And we got to go to it! It was such a great experience! We traveled for about and hour to get there. When we got to the house where the wedding would be, we felt a little our of place. Karen and Nicolas are the going to be the only members in their family and there isn't too much excitement or support for Karen´s baptism. We we got there and receive our fair share of cold looks and behind the back whispers. haha We were sitting there, trying to smile and make small talk with friends and family members. All of a sudden, Karen´s mom walked by and saw us and said "oh, Karen said if I see anyone with little black name badges I should bring them back to the dressing room." She showed us back to where Karen was. She looked amazing, with a modest wedding dress and all. When she saw us, her face completely changed, for stressed and nervous, to relief and peace. I have never seen anyone so relieved to see us (usually its the opposite effect). It was such a special experience to see her. She asked all of her friends to leave the room where she was at and after she shut the door she said, "Hermana´s, can we pray?!" it was so innocent and so beautiful. Karen, (I don't remember if I already explained) is one of a kind. She has tattoo sleeves up and down her arms and before she met the missionaries, she didn't know who Jesus Christ was. She has had a 180 degree change. Now she loves the Book of Mormon, she loves going to church, and she has played a huge part in reactivating Nicolas. I don't think I can explain how much I love them. They are just so sweet and nice. Don't judge people by their out ward appearance. Karen has one of the sweetest spirits I have ever felt. The Lord looks upon the heart.

Anyways, the wedding was so wonderful. My companion almost drank beer because she thought it was juice haha. and We had quite a scare during the traditional best man speeches/cheers, because we thought they were drinking champagne (which would mean her baptism would be postponed two weeks), but it was just ginger ale. haha but we were able to talk to a lot of curious people about the church and in the end, we softened a lot of hard hearts, people lined up to talk to us haha everyone wanted to meet the Mormon missionaries. It was a great experience. And Sunday is the big B - day (baptism!! wahoo!)

Also, last night we had a miracle! I have a strong testimony that the Lord helps us meet our goals! This week, we had been struggling to find new investigators, which we urgently need. I had tried just about everything I knew how to do to find people (talked to people in the street, knocked doors, visited recent converts, future investigators and old investigators form the area book) and nothing.... by Saturday, we only had found 1 investigator, our goal was 7. So Saturday night, we knelt in prayer, asking the Lord how we could reach our goals, and we decided to do division with branch members. So we did! We did division with two amazing young woman from the branch. After 3 hours of divisions, knocking doors and pounding the pavement, we each found 3 new investigators! Making 7 new investigators in total! We reached the goal! It was amazing to me! The Lord just is so all powerful!

Also, the Aerobics classes and ceramics classes are a HIT!! Definitely was inspiration. This Saturday, 18 non members came to the aerobics class! After each class, we share a spiritual thought and a prayer and the peoples hearts are softening! This week, a branch member, a world renowned Doctor who works for the FIFA came and taught a brief class about physical health and gave each student a free medical checkup. After class, we started talking to Archiles, a young man who said he had never seeing a group of happier, healthier nicer people. He said he had always heard about the Mormons, but he had never never felt so at home in a church before. We gave him a Book of Mormon and he said he would like to hear more about our message. Also, Connie a 15 year old girl asked us to teach her how to pray after class. Wahoo!! I love being a missionary. If any missionaries are reading this, my advice to you is BE CREATIVE! Do things that haven't been done before, use the talents of the ward members offer classes, get people into the church building so they can feel the spirit. I promise you the spirit will soften their hearts!

This was just a great week! I am so happy. Did you know that? haha I hope you all have a great week!
