Subject: Hola querida familia!

Hello All!
Wow, let me tell you.. This week has been a week of ADVENTURES! haha I have never laughed so hard or felt the spirit so strong in all my life. I think that is a great combination if you ask me, spiritual moments complete with pure laughter and joy. Basically that is how I define the mission for me. I am going to try to remember all the details of this week... most notably we had a beautiful baptism yesterday, of Anita! She is a sweet sweet 12 year old girl. She is granddaughter of a woman who we are reactivating in the church. Poor Anita has had a hard life, but she is so full ofexcitement and happiness and she is so mature for her age. This was my first opportunity teaching a child, it was a little hard, but I am also learning how to be a mom haha. But she is so lovely. We also had alot of investigators attending the baptism yesterday and they all felt the spirit very strongly, We should be having several baptisms in the near future! yay!

Also, highlight of my life... drum role please! I received a letter this week from Carla and Pablo... Pablo received the Melchizedek Priesthood this week!!! I as so so happy! It is amazing amazing feeling to see your converts making higher covenants with their Heavenly Father! Also, he told me that this weekend he is going to baptize his two sisters Natalia and Camilla who we were teaching!!wahoo!! Even though I wasn't there to see the baptism, I am so full of joy to see that they are still reaping fruits for my efforts in La Serena. WAHOOO!! I am praying everyday that in a year I will be able to be in the temple with them as they are sealed together for time and all eternity!

Ok What else happened... oh yes. Ok I am going to tell you all about they craziest day ever. So this week, I think it was Saturday we finally found a third bike (after weeks of diligent searching and begging members) so we were so excited to finally have bikes! So we were all ready to go, helmets and all and we discover that my sweet companion Hermana Arcos doesn't know how to ride a bike. haha She said she learned once when she was 11. You know that good old saying "its like riding a bike.. you never forget how to do it" yeah, well, this saying is false ahah She had NO idea how to do it. haha So we spent about an hour teaching her and practicing with her in the street in front of our pension. Oh my goodness, I have never laughed so hard, and all of our neighbors came our laughing with us. But my companion is a trooper and had a great attitude and she learned very fast! So we started off on the adventure of the bikes. We arrived to our destination very sweaty and very out of breath, but with excitement. Haha later in the afternoon, we were on our ways to an appointment, I was riding in front on our bike trio and all of a sudden, my I felt my skirt get caught in the back wheel. well, I think you can imagine what happened next, but if not, let me elaborate... haha my whole skirt got pulled down! Like wayyyy down. Lets just say in this moment I was very grateful to wear garments and my companions fell off their bikes because they were laughing so hard. And I finished off the day with a BIG hole in my skirt.. haha But this isnt the end of the story... so at about 8 o'clock in night, we were riding our bikes in a small neighborhood, and all of the lights went out. ALL OF THE LIGHTS IN ALL OF LIMACHE! People started going crazy running out of their houses, thinking that it was a pre-earthquake. We quickly headed back to the pension because it was chaos in the streets. In the pension it was pitch pitch black so we broke out our flashlights and enjoyed the stillness of the night... until we discovered that my companion had tracked in dog poop and her whole leg was covered haha we ended up cleaning up in pitch darkness.ohhh what a day.

Oh also, last night we had a cool experience! We started teaching a family of 4 and all four of them accepted a baptismal date! They are seriously a family of gold! When we arrived to the appointment, the whole family was waiting for us. Ana is the mom, she lives with her 3 kids Juan who is 14, Pia 12 and Gabriel 8. they all were so interested in the message and when I invited them to be baptized, they all raised their hands and were saying "I want to I want to!!" They are going to conference this weekend with us and I know they are going to progress very quickly! wahoo! We are also teaching a Family Mapuche (of the indigenous people from the south of Chile.) they don't have very much experience in religion and they are very receptive! They love the Book of Mormon. Actually, they said in the history of their people, they believed that Jesus visited Chile a very long time ago. The whole family, the parents and their two kids, came to church this week and they liked it a lot! Please pray for them!!

Oh and last night we got to watch the young woman's broadcast (in Spanish haha) And I absolutely loved Presidente Uchdorfs talk! it was so great! If you didn't see it, look it up on line!

Ok this is my week in a nut shell. I am so so happy here! I love you all!

¿Portense bien este semana ya? Les Quiero Muchisimo
Hermana Royal
