Hola a todos mis Amados hermanos y hermanas :) haha
How are you all doing? I am doing great! I hope you all took great care of dear old dad on his special day! I thought about sending a card... but I am going to be honest I am not completely sure how the mail system works around here... But I hope one day I will learn haha. So I just came from the Office of Police Investigations and Registro Civil to be finger printed and photographed... haha so I could receive my carnet (Its like a drivers license here in chile) Dont worry, I wasnt arrested, but I feel like a real Chilean now hah. Actually, my dream is to one day have someone mistake me for a Chilean, not gringa... but I think my dream is far fetched... hah vamos a ver...
This week has been amazing. Seriously, we hermana Rivera and I had SO much success. We found 17 new invistagors this week, which is an insanely high number... One of the Zone leaders commented, are you guys only finding teenage boys to teach, is that why you have so many? haha But actually we have found 17 really incredible people, including 2 families. It has been such a huge blessing! I know that the Lord is guiding us to the people who are prepared to listen! One of the people we found is a man named Juliano. He is what I would like to call a golden investigator. But he doesn't look like it! haha he is about 45 years old, lives alone and looks almost exactly like Tobias from ArrestedDevelopment. His house is full of photos of himself, (you know the cheesy professional -arm-shelf -type with backdrops and such) haha and his girl friend is a 3rd cousin who lives in Florida. haha She skypes with us during the lessons. But seriously, he is amazing. he says he has been searching his whole life to find something like this. He accepted a baptismal date for 3 weeks from now. Seriously, I don't know how I am so lucky to have this experiences, but I seriously am so full of Joy.
Also, Maria Jofre is all ready for her Baptism for the 2ND. She still needs lots of prayers, because she is scared to get her foot wet because of the cancer/wound, but she is moving forward with faith! She is seriously amazing. I love her so much. haha I cant believe how much I love these Chilean people.
Carla and Pablo are doing great! Pablo will receive the priesthood this week, and I think Carla is going to have her baby this week too (she has been having contractions for a while now...) And we have started teaching her family too. It is so amazing to see there progress. Seriously, I give them 3 years tops before they are in leadership callings...
hmm, what else has happened this week... still haven't received the package but I am waiting anxiously haha. I hope there is chocolate inside...
I have been enjoying reading the general conference issue of the ensign. It seems like in every talk, I can find a quote that is PERFECT for one of our investigators! The leaders of our church really are inspired aren't they.
I love you all! (sorry for a short email this week...)
Cant wait to hear from you next week!!
Hermana Royal!
