Week 2 at the MTC

Hola familia and amigos!!
First of all, thanks so so much for the letters and dear elders From all of you! Mom and Lisa, Don't worry, I have gotten all of your dear elders and I am so grateful for your thoughts prayers and stories :) It is always so exciting having a letter on my desk :) Plus it makes the other sisters jealous. haha jk. We are all getting letters so don't worry! And mom, I got your package(s). Thanks for sending those to me and I will shred my old debit card. How are you all doing? Whats new and exciting?? Also, before I forget, Taylor Smith wants you to say hi to her parents! I think she misses them alot.
Well, Good news, I still love the MTC :) It is such a great time doing the Lord's work. haha It's like a weird time warp here though. The time goes by SO slow and SO fast all at the same time. Who knew that was possible. I am probably working harder than I have ever worked before, but its not hard work :) It is so enjoyable to me! I have already read through first and second Nephi in like a week and I love teaching and studying and preparing lessons. Hermana Ellsworth and I have 8 "progessive investigators" or people that we teach every week. This week we challenged three of them to baptism. I know its just role play, but it feels so real! When I challenged the first one, for the first time, it was like a bolt of lightning shot through my body. What a rush! haha I sound like such a nerd, but Missionary work is really unlike anything I've ever done before. We had our first TRC appointment today (whereProvo community memebers volunteer and pretend to be investigators) We had to contact people in a "park" in SPANISH... scary... and set up appointments to teach them. then we taught one of them. Though Hermana Ellsworth and I prepared alot, we but were so nervous under the pressure. It was sure a crazy experience. Haha
Hermana Ellsworth is SO great. We get a long so well. She makes missionary work so fun. I really love her and I feel like we will be friends forever. She is really struggling with the language and it stresses her out alot. I am trying to help teach her, but in reality, if we are being 100% obeident, the lord will provide the language for us. I am glad to see how easy the langage is coming for me. I still have a long way to go but I am grateful for a chance to help my sweet companion. Our teachers have a goal for us to be speaking only spanish by week 3, that is like 3 weeks sooner than most teachers, but its a blessing. My teachers are great.
So one thing I think is pretty cool is the crazy amount of energy I have. Every morning I wake up and role out of bed and pray, thinking I should be dead tired, but the energy just comes immediately. I never feel tired. Even with out naps, I am super energized, I know that the lord is giving me the energy I need. WHAT A BLESSING :) I am giving ALL that I have to the lord, holding nothing back and he is giving me all that I need. Nice how that works out!
So funny story. On sunday nights, they show church films after the fireside and last night they were showing Legacy. I don't remember that movie being funny at all, but Elders and Sisters were cracking up at parts. It must be a combination of pent up energy and lack of movies haha. Anyways, during the opening prayer, someone behind us farted pretty loud. I tried so hard not to laugh but when I heard Sister Ellsworth giggling, I knew I had no chance. We both started laughing (along with everyone around us) and we couldn't control ourselves. After the prayer, I was still laughing for a good couple minutes. into the movie and I turned to Sister Ellsworth to tell her that I couldn't stop laughing. I said "I was trying so hard to hold it in" (refering to my laughter). But she thought I was refering to something else and we laughed some more. good times. After we settled down, we watched legacy but it always feels good to have a good laugh :)
I love you all so much! I Love hearing about your weeks and your expereinces and the exciting things in your lives! Mail is like gold here! It makes me feel bad about all the missionaries I never wrote.... haha I can only write letters on P-days, so if you dont get a response for a while, just know that one is on its way! You are all such good examples to me. I feel your prayers and love. and Everynight when I pray, I ask God to let you guys feel my love for you all! (family and friends alike!)
I just can't get enough of the spirit here. I am learning to interpret promptings and apply them to my investigators. It's amazing how clear he will communicate to us if we are willing to listen and respond. God loves all of you! That is something I know for sure!
Can't wait till I get to email you next week :) I love you all so much and I am grateful for you in my life!
Mucho Amor,
Hermana Royal
