Hola Familia! La Serena les manda sus saludes!
Well, this is the first email where I feel weird writing in Inglish! Haha I guess that means I am progressing! haha Well due to technical difficulties, I only have like a half hour to write my email, so sorry if this is short, but, the good news is... I get to talk to you on the PHONE on Sunday! Yay! Here´s what is going to go down: I think I get to call you on Friday for like 5 mins to set up the time for Sunday, and then on Sunday, I get to talk to you for 40 mins! yay Also, I think we will be able to do it on skype (without camera) but more details to come!
Bueno. I am here in La Serena (Brillador is the name of the ward) and I am so excited for this change. Brillador is a very humble area. It is more what I expected to find in Chile (I must have really been in the most wealthy ward before in Vina) Last Tuesday, I took the 7 hour bus ride up here to La Serena, dropped my luggage off at the Pension (we living in a castle by the way... literally, the house is a castle) and met my new companion! Hermana Jones.. A Gringa from Utah!:) haha I don't think I am going to be able to explain how excited I am to be working with her, but iI will try.
Hermana Jones is in her last change here in the mission and she is amazing missionary. She has all of the attributes that I hope to cultivate and I am learning so much in the mission. She told me that she had been praying so hard for a obedient, excited and hard working companion for her last change, and she said when she met me, the knew right away I was an answer to her prayer (I don't know about that... haha) but it is such a blessing to have a companion who shares a desire to be obedient and work ourselves to death! haha and boy, have we worked ourselves to death this week. But from the first lesson that we taught together, we felt such a strong spirit together in our lessons. This week, we experienced so much success too! In one week, we have 6 investigators who accepted a baptismal date, 8 new investigators with lots of potential and a long list of future investigators. I can honestly say I am EXHAUSTED at the end of the day, but it is such a good feeling! This is the way I wanted to work in my first change, and this is the way I am going to work for the rest of my mission! We also don't speak any English together. I have set a goal to not speak anymore English to missionaries here in the mission.
Oh I am so excited for this area. It doesn't look at all like Beautiful Vina, but I don't really care because I am so excited for the work! We also have a great Zone that is really united.hah ok, enough about me...
I am so glad to hear from each of you this week! I can´t believe how many people are getting married! And I also can´t say I´m not surprised :) Please give my love and excitement to everyone! Tell people to email me their addresses so I cant write them about how excited I am!
I love you all so much! Thanks for all of your love, support and prayers! I am so excited to talk to you guys this week! I miss you lots, but I am so happy hear in the mission!
Amor y Besos
Hermana Royal
